FROM KOPER TO VILLA MIRASASSO: AN INTIMATE SLOVENIAN WEDDING

What began with a quiet first look overlooking the Adriatic Sea on Belvedere in Koper unfolded into a wedding day filled with emotion, unexpected moments, and beautiful surprises.

After exchanging vows during an intimate civil ceremony in Koper, Asia and Shkumbin continued their celebration in a very personal way — driving through the streets of Slovenian Istria in Asia's grandfather's vintage Mercedes 190, a meaningful family heirloom that added an extra layer of nostalgia and sentiment to the day.

The afternoon was spent at the enchanting Villa Mirasasso Greenhouse in Sežana, where natural light, elegant details, and lush greenery created the perfect setting for their portraits.

As the day continued, they made their way to Šared, a small hilltop village above Izola, where family and friends were already gathered. Believing they had been invited to celebrate an engagement, the guests had no idea that the couple had already exchanged vows. The surprise, laughter, and emotional reactions that followed became one of the most memorable parts of the entire celebration.

From the coastal views of Koper and a ride in a beloved vintage Mercedes to the romantic greenhouse in Sežana and the surprise gathering in the hills above Izola, this wedding was a beautiful reminder that the most meaningful celebrations are often the most personal ones.
