A Romantic Wedding in Cefalù, Sicily

Almost a year before their wedding day, Serena reached out after finding me in a wedding planning Facebook group. What started as a simple message soon turned into months of emails, planning conversations, and preparations as we brought together the perfect team for their celebration in Sicily.

Although Serena was born and raised in the United States, Sicily has always been part of her family's story. With relatives and family roots on the island, she dreamed of celebrating her wedding in a place that felt deeply connected to her heritage. Together with Chad, she chose Cefalù not only for its beauty, but also for the meaning it held for her family.

Their wedding weekend took place at Pollina Resort, a stunning seaside venue on Sicily's northern coast. What made the experience especially unique was the size of the resort itself. Rather than everything happening in one place, each part of the celebration unfolded in a different corner of the property, creating a sense of discovery and adventure for everyone involved.

The festivities began the evening before with a rehearsal dinner at a charming pizzeria perched high above the sea. As the sun set over the Sicilian coastline, family and friends gathered to enjoy local food, breathtaking views, and the excitement of the day ahead.

Their wedding became much more than a destination celebration. Family members traveled from across the United States and Italy, creating a rare opportunity for relatives to reconnect, share memories, and celebrate together in the place where so much of Serena's family history began.

On the wedding day, guests moved between different areas of the resort as the story unfolded — from getting ready in the morning to the ceremony, cocktail hour, and evening reception. With loved ones staying together throughout the weekend, the celebration felt less like a single wedding day and more like an unforgettable family reunion under the Sicilian sun.
